The thermal snap switch is designed to turn on your Natural Light solar attic fan when the temperature in the attic reaches approximately 80 degrees. It will turn off the motor when the temperature in the attic drops below 70 degrees.

The thermal snap switch will work with the flat-roof, pitched-roof, or gable vent models.

Installation of the Thermal Snap Switch
  1. Turn the Solar Attic Fan unit upside down. Locate the wire lead coming from the motor (see Figure 1).
  2. Insert black male plug from the thermal switch into the female black plug on the Solar Attic Fan unit. Then insert the red male plug from the Solar Attic Fan unit to the red female plug on the thermal switch (see Figure 2).
  3. When Solar Attic Fan is installed, the thermal snap switch should hang down (see Figure 3).
